At CBD Guru, we pride ourselves on providing top-notch cannabinoid products for our clients. In the UK alone, there are well over 300,000 individuals using CBD every day. They may take these products for stress relief, clarity of mind, tension reduction, and physical health.
Regardless of the reason our customers take CBD, one thing is clear. CBD improves their quality of life by providing holistic care for the body and mind. As we are dealing with real people, with real experiences, our company is continuously striving to provide the best lab-tested CBD oil with complete transparency.
Even with easy access to CBD lab results many don’t know how to read them, so within this article we will explain How to Read CBD Lab Results.
Lab Tested CBD Oil
Our lab-tested CBD oil has the backing of valid results from an independent testing facility. We provide products for our customers, as well as distribute wholesale cannabidiol to over 100 UK brands. As such, we owe each and everyone one of our clients the full information about our products.
We proudly post the results for each of our lab tests. With legally compliant and ineffective levels of THC and undetectable/non-existent levels of pesticides/solvents, we can state that our hemp extracts are safe. Our lab testing doesn’t just test to see what is missing from our product. These CBD lab test results also display the phytocannabinoid content of our product.
Understanding How To Read CBD Lab Results
To explain our CBD lab reports, we ask that you open up one of our most recent lab results available at this link. We will provide a rundown of the details beginning with the top of the page. If you complete this guide and still have questions, don’t worry about it. Our customer service representatives would be happy to address your inquiries at any time. Simply head over to our Contact Page to send a message.
The top of the page contains introductory information for the test. We use Juniper Analytics to provide our Certificate of Analysis. To the left, under Juniper’s logo, there is some basic information about what is being tested. This info displays that the product is a concentrate, stated to be THC-free, and is in the form of a distillate.
The next section below the introduction is the Potency Analysis. When testing for potency, the laboratory examines the active cannabinoids in the product. These broad-spectrum extractions will also contain a variety of compounds that are not featured on this list, including terpenes, flavonoids, lactones, ketones, phenols, and plant esters. All these phytonutrients provide extra benefits, but the primary factors that are sought after are the cannabinoids such as CBD, CBG, and CBN.
In the compound column, you will find a variety of cannabinoid compounds listed. The THC variations all have a weight of “<LOQ.” As you can see at the bottom of the first page, LOQ means Limit of Quantification. If THC and its variants are under the LOQ, it means that it is compliant with the legal limit of 0.2-0.3% THC for cannabidiol products.
The compound column also lists other various cannabinoids with therapeutic value. CBD has the highest presence, and there are also active levels of CBG, CBN, and CBC. Many of our tests, such as this distillate test, also display active levels of CBD-A. When taking a variety of hemp nutrients at the same time, such as many cannabinoids, the well-documented entourage effect occurs. This effect describes how the benefits and physiological actions of each plant nutrient multiply the potential of the other compounds. This activity results in a robust and efficient product. We are happy to report relevant levels of many valuable hemp compounds.
The Residual Solvent, Pesticide Analysis, and Microbiological Contaminants sections all follow similar formats. The critical point to look for is the result <LOQ. Just as with THC, if a compound has under the LOQ, than it is either absent or inactive. We use a non-toxic supercritical CO2 extraction process that will never leave solvents behind. The Residual Solvents chart displays zero contaminants, which reflects the purity of the process.
The Pesticide Analysis has an Action Level/LOQ column. The action level is the point where any of these pesticides would have an impact on the preparation, and the LOQ is half of this action level. If there is less than the LOQ of any pesticide, it will not have any physiological effect.
We trace all our hemp back to the farm where it was cultivated, and the seed that was planted. We put in place quality control at every step, preventing the use of these harmful substances.
On some of the tests, there is also an option for Terpene Testing. We opt out of this testing for our broad-spectrum products. Our focus is on the therapeutic benefits of cannabinoid compounds, and we trust the innate intelligence of the hemp material used for extraction. Terpenes, which are aromatic compounds that are frequently made into essential oils, have significant therapeutic benefits. However, CBD is our primary target for these products due to its vast list of benefits and its massive track record of scientific and testimonial support.
The Value of Lab Tested CBD Oil
Testing CBD is an absolute necessity going forward in this industry. Without testing, you cannot guarantee safety or potency. There are so-called CBD products on the market that contain oil from parts of the plant without viable amounts of cannabinoid compounds. Many of these gimmick products are sold on Amazon and are labelled as “hemp oil” on the ingredients. Stay sharp and always look for lab testing. Additionally, product formulations can carry amounts of CBD that do not reflect the labelling. This inconsistency leads to inefficient dosing and inconsistent results.
These scenarios involving mislabeled products are deceitful but rather harmless to the individual. Although these deceptions impact the industry, they are unlikely to cause physical harm to clients. Yet, the presence of pesticides, or dangerous solvents left behind, do pose a risk towards human health. Some products also have extra ingredients that are not listed, such as synthetic psychoactive chemicals, and melatonin.
Lab testing eliminates the guesswork by displaying a pure product. Broad-spectrum CBD and CBD Isolate do not have any known dangerous contraindications with other medications and have little to no side effects. The same cannot be said for some of the synthetic adulterants found in un-tested products.
With CBD Guru, you can shop safely. You can buy our products knowing that your friends, and customers can enjoy them without harm. To assist the hemp movement, and increase harm reduction, we encourage you to read our CBD articles and share what you discover with others. Finally, we encourage you to always locate independent lab-test results before purchasing cannabinoid products of any kind.
