CBD Isolate vs Full Spectrum

by Neil Mumby / 12 March 2019 / Published in CBD Explained

CBD is a game-changing natural antioxidant that is extracted from the hemp plant. This miracle compound has been used in oils, soaps, snacks, teas, vape juices, and more, all with great therapeutic success.

With all of these styles of CBD available, it can seem a bit intimidating to choose the product that best suits your needs. To make this process easier, we have decided to discuss the types of CBD that each product can contain.

The two main types of CBD extractions that you can find on the market are CBD isolate and full spectrum CBD.

CBD isolate, just as it sounds, is a product that contains only CBD. A full spectrum CBD product includes a vast array of other hemp compounds that have therapeutic uses.

CBD on its own is a beneficial cannabinoid compound. These cannabinoid compounds originate from the cannabis plant. All of our CBD Guru products are extracted from hemp. Hemp is a specific variety of cannabis that does not create a “buzz.” Hemp cannabinoids are known to influence the body and mind in many positive ways.

CBD and other cannabinoids are a safe, efficient, and healthy addition to your diet. CBD isolate food supplements are simple, easy to use, and provide the many benefits that over 300,000 UK residents enjoy every single day.

Full spectrum CBD, which contains all of the other nutritious compounds of hemp, features terpenes, flavonoids, and additional hemp cannabinoids. These natural phytonutrients, or plant nutrients, each have unique effects that can help restore balance to your system. Using full spectrum CBD extracts is an excellent way to access a state of happiness and wellness.

What is CBD Isolate Used For?

It can be used for a vast variety of products and applications! CBD isolate can be featured in oils, snacks, coffee, creams, salves, and much much more. CBD isolate, that just contains CBD, is a vital nutrient to feed a major network in the human body: the endocannabinoid system.

The endocannabinoid system is the watchful eye that keeps your body in balance. It influences the immune system, boosts your natural defense system, soothes or activates the nervous system to keep your mood elevated, and it helps keep the mind sharp. Beyond these significant facts, the endocannabinoid network helps regulate bone density, motor functioning, exercise endurance, digestion, energy levels and much much more.

These details about the endocannabinoid system show just how versatile a cannabinoid such as CBD can be as a dietary supplement.

CBD Isolate and the Endocannabinoid System

CBD, when taken in an isolated form, inhibits the FAAH enzyme in your body. This enzyme helps to breakdown AEA, one of the internal cannabinoids that the body produces. This quickly leads to an elevation of circulating AEA in the body. This is great news, as AEA works within the endocannabinoid system to bring neuroprotection, anxiety relief, health, happiness, sleep regulation, disease control and more!

We can not say that CBD on its own creates these effects, due to commercial restrictions on this information. But the science clearly states that a healthy endocannabinoid system can be useful in a wide range of disorders such as cancer, neurodegenerative issues, digestive problems, blood sugar irregularities and more.

When the endocannabinoid network is not cared for, the body and mind enter a state known as clinical endocannabinoid deficiency. This is as serious as it sounds. Without the ECS in check your mood can destabilize, energy levels can plummet, sleep can be impacted and more.

Dietary food supplementation is recommended to help prevent endocannabinoid deficiency. This will keep you in top shape so that you are ready to work and play at peak levels.

How About Full Spectrum CBD?

Full spectrum CBD functions in much the same way as CBD isolate. The unique difference is that full spectrum products contain a broad range of beneficial compounds. Each of the compounds that you receive in these preparations come straight from the hemp plant. CBD Guru products all utilize hemp that has been grown in the beautiful fields of Colorado. The state of Colorado strictly regulates their plants for quality and potency. This means that all CBD Guru products, including full spectrum CBD items, will not contain active levels of THC.
THC is the psychoactive compound found in cannabis strains. What you will be getting instead of THC, is a broad array of phytonutrients such as terpenes and cannabinoid compounds. Full spectrum extractions can be featured in a wide variety of products, from full spectrum CBD capsules to our potent sublingual tinctures.

Terpenes are aromatic and natural organic compounds that are found in the plant world. They help create the smells of citrus, birch, sage, cannabis and more. They also provide beneficial properties to essential oils, healthy foods, and hemp products. These terpene compounds can even be taken in from natural forest air! The air in the woods carries aerosols that hold beneficial terpenes which are inhaled as you breathe. This is one of the many reasons that a walk in the woods can ease the mind and help aid those in need of healing.

In addition to the terpenes featured in full spectrum CBD, you will also be enjoying cannabinoid compounds. CBD is perhaps the most famous cannabinoid these days, but you can’t forget its important sister compounds such as CBN, CBG, and CBDA. Each of these compounds will help feed the endocannabinoid system properly. When the endocannabinoid system is running correctly, it will provide a broad set of benefits. Each cannabinoid uniquely influences your health. On their own, they all work to ensure a healthy body and a happy mind. When taken together, these compounds help to strengthen and enhance different properties of your internal functioning.

Is Full Spectrum CBD Legal?

Yes, when it is made correctly.

All CBD products must contain under 0.3% THC and be rigorously tested before sale. If these guidelines are followed, the product can be sold without restraint. The reason for this is because the product will not create a high and will only interact with your body in helpful ways.

Our full spectrum CBD Guru products, such as our 500mg CBD Oil, are extracted from hemp that has inactive levels of THC in the first place, so our products are safe and freely available. But of course, we still test our products for purity and potency to ensure that our customers will be satisfied and healthy.

So Which Product Is Better? CBD Isolate vs Full Spectrum

When weighting up CBD isolate vs full spectrum to determine which is better, there simply is no straight forward answer! Each body and mind is unique. So, we have decided to provide both CBD isolate and full spectrum CBD. Full spectrum CBD while more robust, may not impact your body in the same way as CBD isolate. It is recommended to try both and see what works best for you.

In the end, all CBD products will help enhance your daily life. SO rather than weighing up CBD Isolate vs Full spectrum, simply make a purchase and begin utilising CBD food supplements today! You won’t regret the relief that comes with these marvellous all natural compounds.
